first_imgTax Reform Group shows public support for charities’ VAT campaign The Charities’ Tax Reform Group (CTRG) has published MORI research which demonstrates overwhelming public support for a matching grant scheme to compensate charities for the irrecoverable VAT they incur.The MORI research findings were announced at the House of Commons today at which CTRG put forward its arguments in support of its campaign to persuade the Government to compensate charities for the irrecoverable VAT they incur in providing charitable services. The campaign has all party support including Tom Levitt MP, the Chairman of the All Party Group on Community and Voluntary Organisations, Bob Russell MP (Liberal Democrat, Colchester) and Tim Yeo MP (Conservative, South Suffolk).
