Cricket News ICC T20 Rankings: Rahul gains a spot, Kuldeep drops a notch

first_img New Delhi: Indian opener KL Rahul’s two impressive knocks in the recently concluded two-match T20 series against Australia helped him climb to fifth in the latest ICC Rankings for T20 batsmen here Tuesday. Rahul, who made a comeback to international cricket after a brief suspension by the BCCI for his sexist comments on a TV show, scored 47 and 50 in the two matches and gained a spot in the latest rankings.In the bowlers’ list, Kuldeep Yadav, who was rested for two T20 Internationals, dropped a place to fifth.’ KL Rahul climbs to the fifth spot in ICC T20 Rankings. India wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav drop by a notch to occupy the fifth spot. Babar Azam tops the batsmen list in the T20 Rankings. Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remained in top positions in batsmen and bowlers’ list respectively. Pakistan (135) enjoys a 13-point lead over second-placed India (122) with England remaining at third place with 121 points.Leg-spinner Adil Rashid has equaled his career-best third place in the latest rankings. Rashid’s five wickets in the series against the West Indies have helped him gain two slots and cross the 700-point mark for the first time in his career during the series. Meanwhile, India will be up against Australia for one final time in this series as the two teams will be locking horns for the decider game at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on March 13. this will also be India’s last assignment before the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. first_imgPortsalon Golf ClubDonal Mc LochlainThe Captain D P Logue, President Wm Mc Cleary and the member’s of Portsalon Golf Club were saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden passing of their golfing colleague and friend Donal Mc Lochlain. Donal had been a member of Porsalon golf club for a long number of years and had made Portsalon his second home for many years overlooking Ballymactocker Bay. During his golfing career Donal represented Portsalon Golf club at every level throughout Donegal and Ulster in the various competitions. The highlight of Donal’s golfing career was when in 1987 he was bestowed the title of Captain for his beloved Portsalon Golf Club. A task which he undertook showing his professional background,ability and dignity. Such was the esteem in which the members held for him with in the club; in 1986 Donal was also appointed as one of the Trustees of the course of the Portsalon golf course. Our deepest sympathy goes to his wife Rita his son and daughter and extended family members. We may forget the detail, we may forget the date but we will always remember the man. May Donal be reaping his eternal rewards on the fairways of heaven. May he rest in peace. EventsOn Saturday 15th December there is a gents open competition.
