DES MOINES, Iowa – Two Drake University men’s soccer players, Scott Misselhorn and Nate Seaberg, have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Thursday. The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Seaberg studies health sciences and boasts a 4.00 GPA. A senior midfielder hailing from Moline, Ill., Seaberg has tallied one goal and one assist this season. Misselhorn and Seaberg will be honored on Senior Day against No. 10 Missouri State on Saturday at Tiger Field in West Des Moines. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. Misselhorn and Seaberg are two of 13 honorees from District Six, comprised of schools from 11 states. They now qualify for consideration for the CoSIDA Academic All-American team, which will be announced in early December.
