(PHOTO/COURTESY)Ghanian giants Asante Kotoko are understood to be in advanced talks with Ugandan striker George Abage over a potential move.Swift Sports reports that Abege who features for Kenya’s Kariobangi Sharks will most likely seal the move later this week.Asante Kotoko gained interest in the lanky striker when the two clubs faced off in the CAF Confederation Cup last year.If the move materializes, Abege will become only the second Ugandan to feature for Asante Kotoko, following into the footsteps of Joseph Ochaya who played for the Porcupine Warriors between 2012 and 2014.Abege has previously played for three Ugandan clubs including Maroons FC, SC Victoria University and JMC Hippos.He was pivotal in Kariobangi Sharks’ SportPesa Shield triumph scoring a brace against Sofapaka in final.Besides Kariobangi Sharks, Abege has also played for Sony Sugar, Nairobi City Stars, Posta Rangers and Bandari FC in the Kenya Premier League.Asante Kotoko Sporting Club is a professional football club from Kumasi, Ashanti.
